JAM Youth Group (Jesus And Me)

At Rural Revival, we are passionate about investing into the next generation and creating a place where young people can feel safe, valued, encouraged, and inspired. Our youth group, JAM (Jesus And Me), is designed specifically for secondary school aged teenagers and provides a welcoming environment where young people can build friendships, have fun, and grow in their understanding of God and His purpose for their lives.
JAM takes place every Saturday night during the school term from 7:30pm to 9:00pm in The Hub on Main Street. Each week is filled with opportunities for young people to connect with one another through games, activities, discussions, music, and teaching from the Word of God. We aim to create an atmosphere that is both enjoyable and meaningful, where teenagers can be themselves, ask questions openly, and explore faith in a real and practical way.
Our heart for JAM is two-fold. Firstly, we want to provide a safe, supervised, and positive environment where young people can socialise, build healthy friendships, and feel part of a supportive community. In a world where many young people face loneliness, pressure, and uncertainty, we believe it is important to create spaces where they are encouraged, accepted, and cared for.
Secondly, we are passionate about helping young people discover the hope, identity, and purpose that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Teenage years can often bring challenges, confusion, and pressure from many different directions. At JAM, we encourage young people to ask life’s big questions and to discover what God says about their future, their value, and their identity.
We believe every young person has been created with purpose and destiny. As Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” This promise is at the centre of our vision for the youth at Rural Revival. We want every young person to know that their life matters and that God has a good plan for them.
Young people today face increasing challenges in society, including pressure from social media, negative influences, substance abuse, anxiety, bullying, and anti-social behaviours. At JAM, we seek to offer an alternative — a place where young people can find hope, truth, encouragement, and direction through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that God’s Word provides wisdom and guidance for every area of life and helps young people make strong, healthy, and wise choices for their future.
Through teaching, discussion, prayer, and genuine friendship, we encourage teenagers to grow in their faith, develop confidence in who God created them to be, and learn how to live with purpose, integrity, and compassion. Our leaders are committed to supporting and encouraging young people as they navigate the challenges of life and grow into the people God has called them to become.
At JAM, there is always plenty of laughter, fun, and encouragement, but above all, our desire is to see young people encounter the love of God in a real and personal way. Whether someone has grown up in church, is exploring faith for the first time, or simply wants a positive place to belong, everyone is welcome.
